-A detailed analysis/summary of each source where you address:
-The author’s project (challenge yourself here to identify why and how the author undertook this project -- consider kairos, exigence, tone, style, methods, audience, etc.)
The tone of the video was very interesting, for me personally I thought that it was an AI voice audio which indicates its monotone and lifeless voice that secretly identifies a con of technology that can be very boring and hard to listen to all of the information thrown at you.
The author talks about
-The genre of the source and how the project may have influenced the
genre, and also how the genre may have influenced the project
Exploring the nature of technology pros and cons and its impact on society today. It is influenced by the project because multiple peel today are affected by the pros and also the consequences of technology and it is to talked about enough

-A detailed analysis/summary of each source where you address:
-The author’s project (challenge yourself here to identify why and how the author undertook this project -- consider kairos, exigence, tone, style, methods, audience, etc.)
kairos is very important because within the technology dense society we live in today, opening up a pencil shop is defying the social norms and going back into to the old days with just a simple pencil and paper
The author talks about
-The genre of the source and how the project may have influenced the
genre, and also how the genre may have influenced the project
The genre is niche business ideas due to the magazine including a different outlook on the pencil industry and marketing it more original and meaningful with different types of pencils from all over the world.
-Your own assessment of the author’s project:
- Did it succeed?
Yes it succeeds becaseit. Enhances her unique store and helps get people to come and buy her pencils with a purpose. Technology cannot have a cultural component while these specific pencils have multiple cultural components of where they’re made, how they are made and what they look like.
-How does this source fit in with the larger “conversation” about
your topic?
The ounce fit into the larger topic because discusses the nostalgia, the technologies and the simple times when kids used to use a pencil on a paper for many things rather than open up their computers or watching TV instead, they would draw something with a cool pencil.
-Use some direct quotes from your source here!
An elegant woman lifted a pencil with a crabbed grip. “Samantha, remember when you wrote like this?” she asked a younger woman. “I still do, Mom,” came Samantha’s withering reply.
“Because it’s cool,” he said. “And how often can you buy a functional thing from the 1950s in mint condition for $5?”
I think it is cool that one of your sources is a video!
ReplyDeleteThan you i tried to have a wide range of sources-Bella buurma
DeleteHi Bella! I like how easily I was able to read your analysis. Maybe for the final draft form everything into a few paragraphs. Great job!
ReplyDelete- Alexa Lombardi
I decided to put everything in condensed paragraphs to make my sentences better and more detailed!

DeleteI like how you used a video as well. For the final draft, I think you should include timestamps of the quotes you used.

The format you picked for this is really great, it breaks all the information down and it's very easy to comprehend. I prefer this rather than a long passage because it's easier to get lost in a really long dense analysis. - Milan Williams
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It made it a lot easier at the time to see how I truly wanted to lay everything out so then i put it into condensed paragraphs.
